ULC ISSUES BULLETIN - ALBERTA FIRE EQUIPMENT SERVICE PROVIDER UNDER FIRE (AGAIN)!

Toronto, Ontario - In a stunning move, Underwriters Laboratories of Canada (ULC) issued a bulletin outlining the unauthorized use of an Extinguisher Service Certification File number which appeared on a number of extinguisher service tags issued by Premium Fire Protection, headquartered in Okotoks, Alberta.  Here’s a link to the bulletin:

https://www.ul.com/news/ulc-warns-unauthorized-fire-extinguisher-maintenance-service-tags-release-2021pn-15

The tags in question are part of the annual test of a hand-portable fire extinguisher.  Premium Fire Protection was not certified under the ULC Fire Extinguisher Service Agencies category and the use of the unique file number EX28493 was never authorized.

A number of recent news articles in the Calgary Herald also mention the ongoing trial of the company and its Directors for numerous violations of the Alberta Fire Code.  These may be viewed here:
