Cheap copy of CAN/ULC-S524-06 wanted

Post by renenkel » Mon Apr 15, 2013 7:56

Hello -- Does anyone know where I might be able to get an outdated version of the CAN/ULC-S524-06 standard for less than the $240 that the current one costs? It seems to me there must be a lot of pros who need to have the latest version and have older ones sitting around gathering dust. Would anyone care to part with one for a modest fee?

The reason I ask is that I'm not a fire industry professional, and am interesting in reading it merely for interest/educational purposes. I've checked a few on-line used booksellers (e.g. amazon, abebooks) with no luck.

Regards,
Robert

Good Morning, Robert:

CAN/ULC-S524-06 is actually the current version of the Standard, however, the version being sold prior to the February 2011 amendment could be considered "outdated". If you want an "outdated" copy, I would suggest you try looking for that, or an older version, like "91" or "01". For a "current copy", you could also try your local public library.
